The AmerenCares Equity in the Arts Philanthropic Grant Program, in partnership with the Arts and Education Council (A&E) and underwritten by Ameren, aims to uplift historically underrepresented or underfunded nonprofit arts and culture organizations. Eligible organizations should represent diverse races, ethnicities, disabilities, and sexual orientations, and must be located in and serving Ameren's Missouri service territory. The program provides a one-year unrestricted operating support gift, starting with a minimum award of $5,000. By fostering inclusivity and supporting underrepresented groups, the program strengthens the cultural fabric of communities and promotes diversity within the arts community.
AmerenCares Equity in the Arts empowers under-resourced and historically underrepresented nonprofits with evidence of People of Color leadership. Launched in 2022, this program, in collaboration with the Arts and Education Council, focuses on identifying and supporting qualified nonprofit arts and cultural organizations needing assistance. The program's aim is to proactively strengthen these organizations and provide the boost they require to thrive.
